The Q2 Series clarinet offers those who prefer a more traditional French-style instrument the chance to experience the world of Backun.

Backun combines modern manufacturing techniques and treatments, including a carbon fiber middle joint ring, with classic Grenadilla wood and silver-plated key work to produce an instrument with truly familiar feel and playability.

Inline trill keys help reduce condensation accumulation, and precision under- and over-cut tone holes ensure impeccable intonation and response. An affordable masterpiece, the Q2 Series is the classic choice.

Backun offers several different key finishing options to fit individual needs and wants. Standard, we carry instruments with silver-plated keys, silver-plated posts, and the auxiliary Eb key. Other options include silver-plated keys with gold-plated posts and gold-plated keys and posts in Grenadilla or Cocobolo wood with or without the Auxiliary Eb Lever.
