This instrument was owned by Jim Preus, longtime member of the Minnesota music community and a bassoonist with the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. It is being sold on behalf of his family. This is a maple bassoon with black stain. It features key work up to high E, a palm guard, and some extra rollers for Low C and D and the right thumb. It has a lovely, dark tone, good scale, and powerful tone characteristic of 9000-series Heckels.

This bassoon comes with 2 bocals, but MMI can work with the buyer on matching a bocal with the instrument.

The check price for this bassoon is $36,000. Please note that 3% will be added to the price if purchased by card.
